There are several shopping malls and markets in Uganda but most of these are located in the capital of Uganda Kampala. the shopping malls in Uganda has a variety of commodities or products that are used by people in their daily life. The shops in these shopping malls are generally dominated by restaurants, hair saloon, cloth centers, banks, supermarkets for general merchandise and cinemas.
- VICTORIA MALL AT ENTEBBE
Victoria mall is Entebbe’s very first shopping mall. It has a number of eateries and shops and it is a good place to relax with families and your loved ones. Victoria mall is a good place for the kids and it is environmental friendly for the children to play and eat and have fun. Victoria mall is easily accessible as it is located in Entebbe town and it is close to a number of hotels which helps tourists easily acquire what they are looking for. - NAKASERO MARKET
Nakasero market is a local market in Kampala Uganda and it is located at the foot of Nakasero hill. It sells fresh food, textiles, shoes and cheap electronics. At Nakasero market one the most common local markets in Uganda where both foreigners and local people can access fresh food and fruits.
- GARDEN CITY MALL
It is located on Yusuf Lule road in the center of the city. It is directly overlooking the golf course another popular place in Kampala. Apart from the mall’s accessible location it is also equipped with a cinema complex, Kampala’s first balling alley, it contains a supermarket, multiple restaurants, an excellent bookstore, a casino, a hairdressing saloon, several banks, a forex bureau and numerous boutiques with designer clothes.
- LUGOGO MALL
This mall has two of South Africa’s mega stores the Shoprite supermarket and an extensive game store. In these two shopping centers you can fail to get what you are looking for because they are always well stocked and they have maximum customer care and trained staff. the mall also has a chain of fast food restaurants namely KFC, Mr. Tasty and Cafe Bravo among the known ones. it also have a variety of banks and Forex bureaus. its parking space is very ample, a shopper doesn’t have to hassle to find parking space like in any other mall.
- PIONEER MALL
It is located or found on Kampala road and has the commonly known Antonio’s restaurant. This is the oldest shopping mall in Uganda. Its Indian architecture is also something to wonder about. It contains a remarkable selection of shops in particular the boutiques and cosmetic shops.
- METROPLEX MALL
It is located besides the northern bypass and it has a splendid Cineplex for catching the latest movies. It also has exquisite restaurants, saloon for dressing your hair, banks and forex bureau for cashing in. there is also a cloth franchise center in the names of Woolworth which has all the latest designs in fashion. Metroplex also has a gym for body conditioning and building.
- QUALITY SHOPPING MALL
It has two branches one is one kilometer with numerous banks, restaurants, bookstores, forex bureaus, tour operating companies and air ticket companies and a mega supermarket with fresh foods and fruits and wines and more home equipment. The second is located at Lubowa on Entebbe road and it is too convenient for people and it is more accessible than the one at Namugongo. The Quality at Lubowa is surrounded and a variety of apartments and international schools for the children. Besides all that there’s also a Watoto branch just below the supermarket.
- ACCACIA MALL
It is located at acacia road just beside the junction that connects Kamwokya, Kitante and Kololo. The place where it is located is famously known as kisementi. It is the newest mall in Kampala. This is a five star mall from its architectural designs to the brands of shops centers, restaurants and corporate offices. Acacia mall has almost everything a modern person needs in the mall namely the supermarket, restaurants, boutique, shoe shops, gadget center forex bureau, Children Park and also cinema hall. It is a good place to be for a weekend.
